Juventus are keeping a close eye on Aaron Ramsey, as he has been left out of the Wales squad against Slovakia, hoping to feature with Croatia.
The midfielder returned to international duty after an 11-month absence, but has continued to struggle with muscular issues since moving to Turin.
Juve Coach Maurizio Sarri revealed Ramsey had been warming up to come on during Sunday’s 2-1 Serie A victory over Inter, but felt a “twinge and we decided not to risk it.”
Now the former Arsenal midfielder has not made the trip to Slovakia for the first Euro 2020 qualifier, remaining in Cardiff to continue training and treatment.
“He felt a bit of tightness in his adductor. He trained today and we’re hopeful he’ll play on Sunday” against Croatia, said Wales manager Ryan Giggs.
The 28-year-old has made four competitive appearances for Juve this season, for a total of 198 minutes of football, scoring one goal.
